At the Memphis Comic and Fantasy Con this weekend, I spent some time chatting with Tyree Cambell of Alban Lake Publishing. I was asking about any upcoming open calls. He reminded me they currently have a Drabble contest running. (link is here: Drabble Contest 7 ) They define it as a 100 word short story, Not 99, not 101, 100 words. The current them is Dear Abby in hte 24th Century.
For my author friends think of this as as plate cleanser between courses. For my writer friends, this could be the crack in the wall for you. Something that moves you into ink. I checked it counts on a resume.
This contest officially closes December 31, or when their book runs out of space. They will be publishing the best twenty to twenty-five submissions. 100 words. Have fun, see you online.
